The New Package
The new interface. As the playhead bar (excuse typo in graphic) moves across the screen from left to right, all the loops play together. The channel strip area, left, is the place to add filters, change instrument voices and employ various synths ... and activate the Ultrabeat drum interface, which is all done on a track-by-track basis.
Mixer comes up in the arrange window now: very convenient. Each track shows added filters and voices, some highlighted in blue. Yellow lines in the arrange window show volume changes that have been made in the tracks and loops. As you can see, alterations are endless.
I would suppose the complete Logic Studio package is in my future. It used to cost $1,000. They cut that almost in half with this new upgrade, which means as a Logic Express user I can get the complete package for only $299.
